Fasting is very common in India. In Navratri, Mahashivratri and in Ganesh Chaturthi or any other Pooja are a very common occasion for fasting.

In fasting generally, we can eat fruits and fruit juices. But it is very common only fruits and juices not available all the time or wants to eat for appetite. So Dosa is a very easy recipe to make. Dosa can be made from Sama, Sabudana, Rajgira, Singhada, etc.

Today we will learn to make Sama Dosa. It is very easy and mouth-watering recipe. Sama is easily available in the grocery store or supermarkets. So let us start to make Sama Dosa for Fasting.

Instructions
  1. Wash Sama rice 2-3 times and soak it in a water for 2 hours.
    Soaking Sama
  2. Remove the water from Sama and blend in a smooth paste. Add water as required to make a smooth paste.
  3. Take a mixing bowl and add a Sama rice paste. Sieve the sago flour and gently mix it in a Sama mixture.
  4. Now add cumin powder, black pepper powder and salt and mix it properly. Add water and make pouring consistency batter.

  5. Heat the non-stick pan and pour the spoonful batter. Spread in a circular motion.

  6. Brush the ghee on top of Dosa and cook in both the sides till golden color.
  7. Remove carefully from pan and make other Dosas in the same way. Sama Dosa is ready to serve. Serve with curd or peanut chutney.
Recipe Notes
  1. You can use Rajgira flour or Singada flour instead of Sago flour.
  2. You can add curd to the batter instead of water.
